Elsa Lára Arnardóttir (born December 30, 1975 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( Progress Party ).

Elsa Lára worked as a primary school teacher in Hvalfjarðarsveit and Akranes . From 2010 to 2013 she was an alternate member of Akranes City Council. Since the Icelandic parliamentary election on April 27, 2013 , Elsa Lára has been a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the northwestern constituency . Among other things, she was a member of Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs and Education and chaired the Icelandic delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly . In 2013 she was a temporary member of the Committee on Welfare. Elsa Lára Arnardóttir did not run for the early parliamentary elections in Iceland in 2017 .
