Else Warnke

Else Warnke (born December 24, 1908 in Essen , † October 28, 1975 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

Else Warnke attended elementary school, a boarding school and a work group (gymnastics school). She then completed a commercial apprenticeship as an export clerk. She was an intern at the Federal Executive of the German Trade Union Federation (DGB) and then union youth secretary in Hamburg. After 1945 she worked as a manager. In 1953 she became state women's secretary in the DGB regional district of North Rhine-Westphalia. She was also a member of the DGB Federal Women's Committee and Chairwoman of the State Women's Committee of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Warnke was a board member of the State Insurance Institution of Westphalia, the State Labor Office, the State Consumer Center North Rhine-Westphalia and the Action Group of German Women's Associations.

Else Warnke acted as a member of the district committee of the SPD Western Westphalia and as deputy chairwoman of the sub-district committee of the SPD Hagen-Ennepe-Ruhr. She was a member of the district and local executive committee of the SPD Ennepe-Ruhr and deputy honorary mayor of the city of Ennepetal .

Else Warnke moved up to the 6th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia on March 21, 1968 . It moved into the 7th state parliament from July 26, 1970 to May 27, 1975 via the state list.
