Else von Borgstede

Else von Borgstede (born March 10, 1866 in Leppin , Fürstenthum district ; † unknown) was a German poet and writer.

Life

She was born in Leppin in Pomerania in 1866 as the second daughter of the manor owner August von Borgstede (1829–1886) and his wife Emmy Dannhauser . She got lessons from private tutors. She began to write early; She sent numerous fairy tales and children's songs to youth magazines.

Her works include fairy tales, poems, stories for children and young people, children's songs, plays and sketches. A large part of her works appeared in magazines such as Fürs Haus , This sheet belongs to the housewife and Deutsche Modenzeitung . Her love for nature is reflected in her writings.

From 1891 she lived with her sister Emmy (* 1864), who was also active in literature, for years in Berlin or in the Berlin suburbs.
