Elvira Bickel

Elvira Bickel (born September 29, 1930 in Worms ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Elvira Bickel attended elementary school in Worms from 1937 to 1945 and trained as a hairdresser from 1946 to 1949. In 1982 she passed the master's examination. She worked as a hairdresser, was self-employed and housewife from 1977 to 1982.

politics

In 1970 she joined the CDU and in 1973 became a member of the CDU district committee in Worms. From 1974 to 1991 she was chairwoman of the CDU Worms women's union . In terms of local politics, she had been a member of the Worms City Council since 1974, where she was on the parliamentary committee.

She was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from August 7, 1984 to May 19, 1996. In the 10th electoral term she was a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Viticulture and Forests, the Environment Committee and the Committee on Petitions. In the 11th electoral term, she was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs and Health, the Committee on Women's Issues, the Petitions Committee and the Prison Commission. In the 12th electoral term she was a member of the Committee on Women's Issues, the Petitions Committee and the Prison Commission. In 1989 she was a member of the 9th Federal Assembly .

She was a member of the Deutsches Frauenring, the district board of the Frauen Union, the supervisory board of the Wohnungsbau AG Worms and the board of the Lebenshilfe e. V. in Worms.
