Elwira Chochlowa

Elwira Chochlowa , Russian Эльвира Хохлова , wiss. Translit. Ėl'vira Chochlova , also in the English spelling Elvira Khokhlova , (* before 1970) is a Russian opera singer with a soprano voice .

Life

She completed a vocal training at the Gnessin Music Academy in Moscow , which she graduated in 1996. Since 1994 she has been a permanent member of the New Opera in Moscow, founded in 1991 . There the soprano sang a. a. Xenia in Boris Godunow , Gilda in Rigoletto , Nedda in Pagliacci , Maria Stuarda in the opera of the same name. In 2005 she appeared as Gilda at the Opera Festival in La Palma.

The artist sang as a guest a. a. at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in 2003 the Norma in the opera of the same name as well as Norma in the 2003/2004 season in the Ulm Theater , and also the Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor during the 2004/2005 season in the latter theater . She has made several guest appearances at the Monte Carlo Opera. There she sang u. a. 2001 Brigitta in Peter Tchaikovsky's opera Jolanthe. Elwira Chochlowa was one of the singers at the Birgitta Festival 2008 in Tallinn.

Another focus of her work are art songs, she gives numerous concert and song recitals.
