Emanuel Ammon

Emanuel Ammon (born November 28, 1950 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss photographer from Lucerne. He was best known as a press and documentary photographer .

Life

After training (1969–1974) at the Lucerne School of Applied Arts and with the Lucerne photographer Hans Eggermann, he worked as a cameraman for Kurt Albisser. From 1975 to 1980 he was a photo journalist for the Luzerner Tagblatt , later a freelance photographer for various publications in Switzerland and partly abroad. For example for the art magazine PAN , the Geo -special and the Zeit-Magazin. From 1976 to 1988 he was a theater photographer at the Stadttheater Luzern . In 1989 he was a lecturer in press photography at the MAZ . In 1992 he founded the photography agency “AURA Fotoagentur” and seven years later the “AURA Fotobuchverlag” in Lucerne.
