Embrace the End is an American metalcore band from Sacramento , California .

Band history

In 2001 the band released their first EP, It All Begins With One Broken Dream, on Dark Vision Records. This was followed by a few changes in the line-up. After the band drew the attention of Abacus Recordings , their debut album Counting Hallways to the Left was released on June 28, 2005 . Subsequently, Pat Piccolo left the band and they decided to continue with only one singer.

In April 2008 the second studio album was released under the name Ley Lines on Century Media . Meanwhile, the band was on tour with Heaven Shall Burn in the US, where they presented their album as a support band.

style

The music of Embrace the End can be categorized as technical metalcore with death metal influences. The band is often assigned to Mathcore , as the music consists of very complex schemes and is of an experimental nature. The mixture of hardness and aggression with complexity and the perceived as hectic song structures represent the focus of the music of Embrace the End. The vocals vary between screaming and growling .
