The Emerald Icefalls ( Polish : Lodospady Szmaragdowe ) are glacier breaks on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Admiralty Bay they run along the north bank of the Ezcurra Fjord .
Scientists on a Polish Antarctic expedition named them in 1980 after the emerald green color of their Séracs .
