Emeran Schmid

Emeran Schmid (born December 22, 1901 in Munich , † after 1939) was a German protective custody camp leader in the Esterwegen concentration camp .

Life

As a member of the Assault Division Rossbach , he took part in the 1923 Hitler putsch in Munich. He joined the SS (membership no. 34) and the NSDAP (membership no. 5.428) very early on .

In 1930 Emeran Schmid was appointed SS storm leader . As SS-Sturmbannführer he was accepted into the staff of the 1st SS standard " Julius Schreck " in Munich in 1934 . In the following year he became the head of the protective custody camp of the Esterwegen concentration camp, which he was in charge of until its dissolution in 1936. On April 20, 1938, Hitler's birthday , he was appointed SS-Obersturmbannführer. During the Second World War he was active in SS-Section XXXIII in Schwerin , after which his track is lost.
