Emerson Ramos Borges (born August 16, 1980 in Joinville ) is a Brazilian football player who is used in the position of central defender . He has both Brazilian and Italian citizenship .
Career
Emerson Ramos Borges began his career in the youth of his home club Joinville EC . After he was under contract with some smaller Brazilian clubs, he dared the jump to Italy and went to AS Atletico Calcio . After one season, however, he moved to Nuorese Calcio , where he stayed for four years. In 2008 he moved to Taranto FC 1927 , but left the club in the same season for AC Lumezzane . There he became an important regular player. In 2011 he left the club and moved to Reggina Calcio . From 2012 to 2016 he was a regular player in the central defense of AS Livorno .
After a season at Calcio Padova , he moved to Feralpisalò .
