Emil Benčík (born January 20, 1933 in Zlatno , Okres Zlaté Moravce , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak journalist and writer.

Benčík began his career in the 1950s with the daily Smena . From 1971 to 1990 he worked as an editor for the Czechoslovak Radio in Bratislava . As an author, Benčík introduced the radio feature in Slovakia and, with Čo nového, Bielikovci (German: What's New, Bielikovci ), wrote a popular family series for radio that ran for 17 years.
