Emil Bildstein
Emil Bildstein (born May 17, 1931 in Munich ) is a former German water polo player .
Emil Bildstein was first goalkeeper at SV Ludwigsburg 08 , later he played for SV 1899 Munich . Bildstein guarded the goal of the national team at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , where he was eliminated with the German team in the preliminary round. At the European Championships in 1954 he reached sixth place with the German team. The German team also took sixth place at the 1956 Olympic Games . Seventh place followed at the 1958 European Championship . At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 , he finished sixth with the team from the Federal Republic of Germany, whereby Bildstein was only used in one game in Rome, the goalkeeper was Hans Hoffmeister .
In 1963, in the run-up to the Olympic Games in Tokyo , Japan , Bildstein helped set up a Japanese national water polo team.
