Emil Jakov

Emil Stefanow Dshakow ( Bulgarian Емил Стефанов Джаков * March 2, 1908 in Swishtov , † September 15, 1978 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian physicist .

Life

He first studied in Sofia and then deepened his studies in 1936 and 193 in Berlin . From 1942 he worked as a professor at the University of Sofia . He was a member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and from 1963 to 1978 director of the Academy's Electrical Engineering Institute. Djakov was a member of the Scientific Council from 1956 to 1976 and was deputy director of the United Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna in the Soviet Union from 1959 to 1961 .

In his scientific work he dealt with physical electronics and radio physics . He wrote a theory about delay relays and created new integrators for nonlinear functions.

Djakov was awarded the Dimitrov Prize.
