Emil Man Lun Ng

Emil Man Lun Ng ( Chinese  吳敏倫  /  吴敏伦 , Pinyin Wú Mǐnlún , Cantonese  Ng Man-leon ; born October 14, 1946 ) is a Chinese sexologist and vice president of the Hong Kong Sex Education Association . He was President of the XIV World Congress of Sexology in 1999.

Life

Ng is a professor at Hong Kong University , where he received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1992 . There he is the deputy director of the family institute. Since 1976 he has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Great Britain . In 1985 he founded the Hong Kong Sex Education Association and in 1990 the Asian Federation of Sexology . His main research interests are the Chinese perspective of sexuality , sex education and therapy .

He published seven books in English and 22 books in Chinese. Until 2010 he received two awards: "Sexologist of Asia" from the Asian Federation for Sexology (1994) and the "Gold Medal in Sexology" from the World Association for Sexology (2003).

He is a member of the International Board of Trustees of the German Society for Social Science Sex Research .
