Emil Theodor Richter
Emil Theodor Richter (* 1801 in Berlin ; † February 11, 1878 in Munich ) was a German landscape and architecture painter.
Emil Theodor Richter studied painting at the Royal Prussian Academy of the Arts in Berlin.
He spent the period from 1835 to 1839 on a study trip to Italy, where he made numerous landscape studies from the areas around Naples, Pompeii and Rome, among others. After these studies, after returning home, he created large-format landscapes.
In 1840 Emil Theodor Richter settled in Munich, where he mainly dealt with the Bavarian landscape, but also painted genre pictures.
