Life
Treskow was trained as a singer in Berlin and then committed to Würzburg in 1917. In 1919 he came to Dessau, where he sang under the direction of Hans Knappertsbusch . In Dessau he was also appointed chamber singer . Many stages, both at home and abroad, obliged him to give guest performances. In 1923 he went to Cologne, where he remained as a singer until his retirement. In 1943 he was awarded the second chamber singer title. Treskow sang the voice of the hero baritone.
He was an important Wagner interpreter ( Fliegender Holländer , "Hans Sachs" in the Meistersinger , "Kurwenal" in Tristan ), but also - in addition to his talent for acting - a respected oratorio and concert singer.
After his retirement he also worked as a singing teacher. Since 1919 he was married to Luise Utpatel. He died at the age of 71 in his apartment in Cologne-Klettenberg .
