Emile Calmes

Emile Calmes (born October 3, 1954 ) is a Luxembourg politician .

Life

After primary school in Bettborn near Préizerdaul , he attended the classical lyceum in Diekirch . He then began studying in Luxembourg City , which he quickly gave up. Emile Calmes then worked at a train station counter in Luxembourg City.

In 1981 Emile Calmes became mayor of Préizerdaul. He held this office until November 2011.

In 1989 Emile Calmes was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for the Democratic Party, to which he was a member from July 18, 1989 to December 2007. He often pursued an environmental ideology that was not supported by his party.
