Emiliana Concha de Ossa
Emiliana Concha de Ossa (born February 21, 1862 in Valparaíso ; † October 15, 1905 in Lausanne ) was a South American heiress - who became known as an artist model and muse of the late 19th century.
Life
Emiliana Concha de Ossa came from a wealthy merchant family and was the niece of the Cuban diplomat Luis Subercaseuse. Emiliana grew up in Paris , where she received extensive training. She spoke several foreign languages and showed an artistic interest early on. She received her first drawing lessons from the famous portrait painter Giovanni Boldini and became his preferred model and muse.
Emiliana Concha de Ossa died of pneumonia in a Swiss sanatorium .
