Emilio Del Guercio

Emilio Del Guercio (born April 12, 1950 ) is an Argentine rock guitarist and bassist.

Del Guercio founded the group Almendra in 1967 with Luis Alberto Spinetta , Edelmiro Molinari and Rodolfo García , of which he belonged until it dissolved in 1970. During this time, the band produced two albums. In 1971 he founded with Rodolfa García, Héctor Starc and Hugo González Neira group Aquelarre , which he belonged to the 1977th

In 1979 De Guercio founded the group La Eléctrica Rioplatense with the members Alfredo Desiata , Eduardo Rogatti , Eduardo Zvetelman and Gabriel Díaz . In the same year he took part in the recording of the live album Live al Obras Sanitarias by the Almendra group, which had come together again at short notice for this purpose.

In 1983 he recorded his solo album Pintada with Edelmiro Molinari . He then founded a guitar trio with Luis D'Agostino and Carlos Telerinsky , which, expanded by the drummer Rubén Rada , the keyboardist Claudio Méndez and the bassist Daniel Insusalrri, again worked under the name La Eléctrica Rioplatense . After the birth of his second daughter, De Guercio temporarily withdrew from the professional music business.

In 1999 the album Corazones Del Lado Del Fuego was released with his old band Aquelarre. 2003-04 he took part as a singer on Luis Bordas album El Alba .
