Emily Scott (born February 16, 1989 ) is an American short tracker and former inline speed skater .

Career

She celebrated her first successes in inline speed skating. At the Junior World Championships in Suzhou in 2005 , she won the gold medal over 15,000 m, before winning the relay title on track and road in the adult division at the 2008 World Championships in Gijón . You have five world championship titles in total.

In 2010 Scott switched to the short track. She made her debut in the 2010/11 season in the World Cup. Her best individual result was reaching the final over 1500 m at the World Cup in Moscow , with the relay she won a World Cup race in Dresden . In the 2011/12 season Scott reached a final three times over 1500 m. In the overall discipline ranking she was eighth over this distance. At the World Championships in Shanghai , she won her first World Championship medal in the short track with silver in the relay.
