Emily Woof (* 1967 in Newcastle upon Tyne ) is a British actress , director and screenwriter .

life and career

Emily Woof was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in the northeastern county of Tyne and Wear . Her father was the Wordsworth Trust director Robert Woof. Emily Woof graduated from Oxford University . Her first stage appearance was a three - part one - person piece entitled Sex , Sex 2 and Sex 3 . Emily Woof is preferred to appear in UK television productions such as Oliver Twist and Barnaby . She became internationally known in 1997 for her role as Mandy in the British hit comedy All or Not at all . She played the lead, directed and wrote the screenplay in the 2007 film Meeting Helen . In May 2010 her first novel The Whole Wide Beauty was published.

Emily Woof has two children and lives in North London .
