Emma Heinzelmann

Emma Heinzelmann (* 1930 in Nyírbátor , Hungary ) is a Hungarian illustrator for children's books. Emma Heinzelmann has worked with renowned authors such as Pablo Neruda, Vera Ferra-Mikura , István Kormos and Sandor Kanyadi. In addition to contemporary authors, she focused her work on fairy tales, including those by Wilhelm Hauff and the Brothers Grimm. Her better-known works, mainly published in the former GDR, such as Lala, the Elf Prince by Magda Szabó, (Budapest 1965) are often supplemented with unique collage techniques.

In addition, she mainly appeared in the 1970s with multi-colored watercolor paintings.
