Emma Lincoln-Smith

Emma Lincoln-Smith (born November 28, 1985 in Warriewood , New South Wales ) is an Australian skeleton pilot .

Emma Lincoln-Smith has been running skeleton since 2004 and has been a member of the Australian national team since then. The Narabeen is trained by Terry Holland . The Australian made her international debut in November 2004 as part of a America's Cup race in Calgary , where she finished eleventh. A year later she started in Lake Placid for the first time in the Skeleton World Cup and was 15th in her first race. In 2007 she took part in a skeleton world championship for the first time and was twelfth in St. Moritz . In the first race of the 2007/08 World Cup season , she finished ninth in Calgary, her first place in the top ten. Lincoln-Smith achieved her best result in the World Cup in 2008 in Igls , where she finished sixth. The result was even better at the 2009 Skeleton World Championship in Lake Placid, where the Australian finished fifth. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , she finished 10th. At the 2011 World Cup in Königssee , she was twelfth.

Before Lincoln-Smith switched to the sport of skeleton, she ran the sport of lifesaving in Australia and came third in the 2004 Australian U-19 championships. Her sister, Holly Lincoln-Smith, is an Australian national water polo player.
