Empyr is a five-piece French alternative rock band whose members were recruited from various bands ( Kyo , Watcha , Pleymo and Vegastar ) in 2006 . Initially, Empyr was only planned as a side project; However, since everyone involved had so much fun, the focus was soon on Empyr.
In order to increase their chances on the international market, they decided to write the texts in English. The band works with three singers (Ben, Florian and Benoît).
The debut album "The Peaceful Riot" was recorded in late summer 2008, directed by producer Ken Andrews (formerly Failure), who had worked with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club , Pete Yorn and A Perfect Circle .
