Emre Yavuz (pianist)

Emre Yavuz (* 1990 in Izmir ) is a Turkish pianist .

At the age of eight, Yavuz was admitted to the Conservatory of Hacettepe University in Ankara. During his high school years he received piano lessons from Fazil Say and Sanem Berkalp at Bilkent University. From 2006 Emre Yavuz studied with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Hanover University of Music and Theater and with Roland Batik at the Music and Art University of the City of Vienna . He has performed with a number of Turkish symphony orchestras, including the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra . In 2013 he played Beethoven's third piano concerto in Tel Aviv under the direction of Zubin Mehta at the annual gala concert of the orchestra of the Buchmann Mehta Music School .

Yavuz has received a number of international awards, including first prize and the special prize for best Schubert interpreter at the Vienna International Pianist Competition in 2016, as well as third prize at the Dortmund Schubert Competition . 2017 he won first prize at Kissinger piano Olympus , the one appearance with the Kammerphilharmonie Bremen at the Festival Kissinger Sommer followed 2018th
