Encyclopédie des sciences ecclésiastiques
The Encyclopédie des sciences ecclésiastiques is a large-scale publishing project begun in the last decade of the 19th century by Letouzey et Ané in Paris to make the entire field of theology accessible through comprehensive reference works.
The individual sub-projects are
- Dictionnaire de la Bible , 5 double volumes, 1895–1912; founded by Fulcran Grégoire Vigouroux , supplément since 1928, founded by Louis Pirot , 13 volumes so far (keyword »Targum«), not yet completed.
- Dictionnaire de théologie catholique , 15 double volumes, 1903–1950, 3 register volumes, 1951–1972; founded by Jean-Michel-Alfred Vacant , initiated by Eugène Mangenot .
- Dictionnaire d'archéologie chrétienne et de liturgie , 15 double volumes, 1907–1951; founded by Fernand Cabrol and Henri Leclercq .
- Dictionnaire d'histoire et de geographie ecclésiastiques , since 1912; founded by Alfred Baudrillart , Albert Vogt and Urbain Rouziès , 29 volumes so far (keyword "Lambardi (Giacomo)"), not yet completed.
- Dictionnaire de droit canonique , 7 volumes, 1935–1965; founded by Raoul Naz .
