Endurance Ridge

Endurance Ridge is an undersea mountain ridge in the Antarctic Weddell Sea . It runs southeast of the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands .
The naming of this deep sea formation was confirmed in June 1987 by the US Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF). It is named after the Endurance , research ship of the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton on the Endurance expedition (1914–1917).
