Engelbrektsloppet

Engelbrektsloppet is a Swedish ski marathon with start and finish in Norberg . The competition is part of the Euroloppet series and is held annually in mid-February in classic technology over 60 km and 30 km. In addition, there is a women's run, Kristinaloppet , also over 30 km.

The event was held for the first time in 1969 and with 2000 to 3000 participants is Sweden's second largest ski marathon after the Wasalauf . The run was named after Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson , who was born near Norberg.

The Engelbrektsloppet is part of the " Swedish classic ", the combination of four long distance competitions in different sports in Sweden.
