Enno Bahrs

Enno Bahrs (born September 17, 1967 in Bremen ) is an agricultural scientist, agricultural economist and tax expert at the University of Hohenheim and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Biodiversity and Genetic Resources at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

biography

After completing his apprenticeship in practical agriculture, Bahrs studied agricultural science and business administration at the Georg-August University in Göttingen. He did his doctorate in 1999 with Manfred Köhne at the same university. In 2000 he also passed the tax advisor exam at the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance. In 2002 Bahrs was appointed junior professor for applied agricultural management at the Georg-August University in Göttingen. After research stays in Kyrgyzstan and California , the habilitation followed in 2006 in Göttingen with the topic: Trading with payment entitlements. Theoretical concepts and practical consequences; Theoretical concepts and practical consequences in trading payment entitlements.

In January 2007, Bahrs accepted a call to the Institute for Agricultural and Forest Economics at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and in 2008 to the University of Hohenheim.

There, as successor to Jürgen Zeddies, he heads the field of agricultural management .
