In tremendous shape

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An aerobics show on ZDF was in tremendous shape . It was broadcast weekly on Saturday afternoons from April 1983 to April 1984 and had a total of 49 episodes.

In each of the approximately 15-minute episodes, a clip by Bernd Rosemeyer , the then professor of orthopedics at the Harlaching Clinic , was first broadcast . He briefly explained the following exercises and gave health tips. Then you saw an aerobics group of around nine people doing the exercises - accompanied by music. At the top were always the two moderators Judith Jagiello and Gaby Just , who briefly explained and counted the exercises. In keeping with the spirit of the times, the gymnasts were equipped with colorful leggings , gauntlets and headbands . The audience was encouraged to join in the gymnastics, and the music was disco and pop music. True to the motto “Tele-aerobics for the family” one occasionally saw children or senior citizens in the gymnastics group. From the show, which was recorded in the ZDF television studio in Munich (today Bavaria Studios ), a long-playing record and an accompanying book were also released. The theme music was composed by Ralph Siegel .

The series was continued in 1984 with a slightly modified concept under the title Breakdance : Eisi Gulp and Judith Jagiello presented a fitness program with 16 episodes that also contained simple elements of breakdancing . The studio decoration with the brightly colored painting should indicate graffiti . Again there was a short introduction by Rosemeyer. The theme music was Jenny Burton's Remember what you like .

The last version of the concept came in 1989 as Let's Move : Gaby Just moderated 16 episodes of fitness exercises to participate in.
