from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Enrica Bordignon (born April 5, 1975 in Italy ) is an Italian chemist and has been a professor of electron spin resonance spectroscopy at the Ruhr University in Bochum since 2016 .

Life

Enrica Bordignon began her chemistry studies in 1995 at the University of Padua , which she graduated with a master's in 1999 . In the following years up to 2003 she did her PhD at the same university in Donatella Carbonera's group on magnetic resonance, photosynthesis and antenna complexes . She then went to the research group of Heinz-Jürgen Steinhoff at the University of Osnabrück for a postdoc until 2008 . Another postdoc stay followed until 2012 at the ETH Zurich with Gunnar Jeschke . After another year as a senior assistant in the same working group, she went to Freie Universität Berlin for a W2 professorship in 2013 . She left this in 2016 to take up a position at the Ruhr University in Bochum.

Enrica Bordignon is married and has one son.

Research areas

Enrica Bordignon’s research focuses on electron magnetic resonance spectroscopic studies, mainly of natural substances in their natural environment. The working group works in the RESOLV Cluster of Excellence .
