Enrique Peñaranda del Castillo
Enrique Peñaranda del Castillo (born November 15, 1892 in La Paz , † December 22, 1969 in Madrid , Spain ) was a Bolivian general .
In December 1933, Daniel Salamanca Urey had Hans Kundt replaced by Enrique Peñaranda del Castillo as commander in chief of the armed forces of Bolivia in the Chaco War.
At El corralito de Villamontes on November 27, 1934, Daniel Salamanca Urey wanted to replace the general staff. The General Staff, led by Enrique Peñaranda del Castillo, was faster and had Daniel Salamanca Urey replaced by Vice President José Luis Tejada Sorzano.
Enrique Peñaranda del Castillo was President of the Republic of Bolivia from 1940 until the coup by General Gualberto Villarroel López in 1943 .
