Ensemble Sarband

The Ensemble Sarband is an international chamber music ensemble founded by Vladimir Ivanoff in 1986 , which specializes in musical relationships between Orient and Occident as well as Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The name of the ensemble Sarband can be found in Middle Eastern music theory and represents the improvised bridge between two compositions (especially in the Dhikr ) and means something like connection or refrain .
