On behalf of Larousse , Étienne Dahler edited both the Old Testament and the New Testament for a comic book publication. The drawings of the various stories were from José Bielsa (Volumes 1, 4, 6, 7), Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri (Volumes 1, 3, 7), Víctor de la Fuente (Volumes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8) , Raymond Poïvet (Volumes 1, 4, 5, 6, 8), Carlo Marcello (Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8) and Pierre Frisano (Volumes 2, 3, 5, 7). The individual episodes have been summarized in eight anthologies. The albums were also released in German-speaking countries.
