Elke Krämer: Thaddäus Trolls Entaklemmer in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt

Under a duck Klemmer ( Entaklemmer or Endaklemmer ) is in Schwäbischen a stingy man understood. The origin of the term is explained by the fact that ducks lay their eggs not only in the nest , but also in the wild . If the duck is to be given a free walk, the duck clamper clamps the rear part of the duck's body with his thumb and forefinger in order to feel whether an egg will be laid in the near future. If this is the case, the duck is ordered to be housed . A variant of the duck clamp is a pet owner who quickly squeezes an egg from the duck before selling it in order to keep it himself.

The Swabian writer Thaddeus Troll has 1,976 Molière's play The Miser to a comedy called The Entaklemmer adapted.

The sculptress Elke Krämer designed Thaddäus Troll's entaklemmer in Bad Cannstatt in 1989.
