Enteromius catenarius ( Syn .: Barbus catenarius ) is a small- stature barbel species from West Africa. It is only known from the Kouilou in the Republic of the Congo .
features
Enteromius catenarius becomes 4.5 cm long and has a typical barbel shape. The mouth is underneath and is surrounded by two pairs of barbels, the front of which is 0.75 to 1.05 times the diameter of the eye, while the rear is longer with 1.1 to 1.75 times the diameter of the eye. The sideline is complete.

- Dandruff formula : 4.5-5.5 / 25-28 / 4.5 / 2.5-3 / 12.
The scales have radial stripes.
Enteromius catenarius is yellow to orange in basic color. The back is rather brown, the belly side white. Three to five elongated spots form a longitudinal band on the sides of the body. The scales on the upper half of the body have brown edges or are completely dark. Dorsal, anal and caudal fins are reddish.
