Entimon is a sub-program of the Youth for Tolerance and Democracy action program launched by the German government in 2001 .

Funding goals

  • Developing openness for foreigners and for the diversity of cultural, ethnic and religious convictions and ways of life to be combined with standing up for the constitution and for human rights (practicing tolerance )
  • to develop and strengthen the ability and willingness to oppose violence, right-wing extremism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism and to protect minorities (combating violence)
  • Integrate people with a migration background into society ( integration )
  • to promote the willingness to get involved in community tasks (take responsibility)
  • to develop and strengthen the ability to democratically cope with conflicting interests and conflicts (experience democracy through democratic action)
  • To encourage people to represent their own convictions publicly ( moral courage )
  • to impart a reliable basic political education (knowledge)

financing

Entimon was funded with 65 million euros until 2006.
