Nicola Varley (born April 9, 1987 ), known as Envy , is a British rapper from Manchester , whose style can be assigned to the subgenre Grime .

biography

Varley began songwriting in 2003. While she was initially compared to other local artists, she made her own place in the British grime scene, which had previously been dominated by men. In 2008 their single Tongue Twister was released on the StopStart Records label .

After graduating from Loughborough University with a degree in media, Varley has since focused on her music career. This was reflected in the form of the second single Friday Night .
