ep Photovoltaik is a German-language specialist magazine for skilled electricians in trade and industry as well as in planning and engineering offices. It is published by the Berlin publisher Huss-Medien .

From February 2008, the magazine was initially published under the title ep Photovoltaik aktuell every two months as a supplement to the specialist magazine Elektropraktiker (ep) and was only sent with this. Since issue 1 / 2-2009, ep Photovoltaik has been available independently of an ep subscription.

In addition to the German-language editions, three special issues in English came onto the market in 2011 and 2012. As a result of the crisis in the solar industry , the publisher reduced the frequency of publication to four titles a year in 2013. In 2014 only one issue of ep Photovoltaik was published , the other planned editions were published as special parts in the mother's title Elektropraktiker . Since 2015 there has been an annual special in the run-up to the Intersolar Europe trade fair .

Target groups and priorities

The magazine serves the so-called B2B market and is not aimed at the end consumer. The content focus is on the planning, installation and maintenance of grid-connected photovoltaic systems and island systems . Other focal points deal with the system technology of solar power systems, the necessary protective measures, occupational safety as well as legal and economic issues.
