The concept of the Eperopolis ( Greek Επερόπολης , plural eperopolises or eperopoleis ) describes the hypothetical emergence of a continent-wide city.

The ekistischen science , according to the Eperopolis is the 14th and penultimate stage in the urban development. The Ecumenopolis represents the superordinate unit of a planet-wide city and the last stage of development.

The greater Nylonkong area , which unites the cities of New York City , London and Hong Kong , is considered to be the first realization of this concept due to the similar development. According to the Greek architect and urban planner Konstantinos A. Doxiadis , the Paris - Prague area in connection with the Bremen - Munich area could also be considered an Eperopolis. Such concepts also appear in the Neuromancer trilogy by William Gibson .
