The Epic Center is a skyscraper in Wichita , Kansas . With a structural height of 117 meters, it is the tallest building in Wichita and Kansas.

Construction began on the 301 North Main Street property in October 1985. Completed in 1987 and ready for occupancy in 1989, it was intended to be the focal point of a financial center for Wichita as it was relatively insignificant and the economy uncertain at the time . It has 22 floors.

Original plans included the construction of twin towers. However, these plans were discarded as there was fear of very little use of the building due to the low demand.

It is used exclusively for office purposes. The main tenants are law firms and banks, as well as other regional and municipal companies. More skyscrapers are planned in the center of Wichita, so that the Epic Center could soon lose the title of the tallest building.
