The Epoch Game Pocket Computer ( Jap. :ゲームポケコン, Hepburn : Gēmupokekon, colloquially Pokekon called) is a handheld game console of the second generation of consoles , which in November 1984 by Epoch-sha in Japan at a price of 12,000 yen was published. It is the first handheld console with interchangeable game modules in Japan.

The game pocket computer was a financial failure and was never released outside of Japan.

  • CPU : NEC uPD78c06 clocked at 6 MHz
  • RAM : 2 kB

  • Sound: 1 sound channel

Games

The Epoch Game Computer has two pre-installed games (Slide puzzle and Drawing tool). Only five games were published in the course of its life in the form of game modules for the system:

  • Sokoban
