from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Erasmus Foundation Brandenburg is a political foundation in Brandenburg .

history

The foundation was established on July 6, 2016 in Potsdam . She describes herself as liberal and conservative and is only active in the state of Brandenburg . It is not identical to the Academic Erasmus Foundation or the Desiderius Erasmus Foundation .

The foundation is headed by Rainer van Raemdonck , who u. a. is also treasurer of the Academic Erasmus Foundation . Deputy Chairman is Thomas Jung , who is also involved in the nationwide Academic Erasmus Foundation. This also applies to the General Secretary of the Foundation, Lena Duggen . Honorary chairman is Konrad Adam , who u. a. until 2017 chairman of the Desiderius Erasmus Foundation .

In 2016 and 2017, the foundation received state funding of € 34,000 and € 85,000, respectively. In 2018, the association did not receive any funding because the responsible interior ministry refused to make a payment. The foundation is accused of paying out uneconomical fee contracts for presentations and loans at excessive interest rates and of setting unreasonable material costs.

The foundation has come under fire because the events it organizes also include speakers who are observed by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
