Rainer van Raemdonck
Rainer van Raemdonck (born March 6, 1957 in Leipzig ) is a German engineer and politician ( AfD ). In 2011 he was deputy state chairman Brandenburg of the right-wing populist party Die Freiheit . From 2013 to 2015 he was 1st deputy chairman of the AfD Brandenburg . From 2014 to September 2019 he was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament .
Life and work
Van Raemdonck was born in Leipzig in 1957. From 1977 to 1982 he studied information technology at the "Friedrich List" University of Transport in Dresden ( graduate engineer ). He later became a Dr.-Ing. PhD on digital transmission technology . From 1987 to 1989 he worked at the Office for Standardization, Metrology and Goods Testing in Dresden, which was subordinate to the GDR Council of Ministers . From 1987 to 1989 he worked for the VEB Kombinat Nachrichtenelektronik in Berlin-Schöneweide . In 1989 he left the GDR .
From 1989 to 1991 he was employed by Monitora Studioanlagen-Montage-GmbH in Hürth , North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1992 to 2000 he worked in the Potsdam directorate of Deutsche Bundespost Telekom and in the Potsdam branch of Deutsche Telekom AG . In 2000/01 he worked in the Carrier Services division of Deutsche Telekom AG. From 2001 to 2014 he worked as a sales manager (sales manager) at T-Systems International GmbH. In 2014 the employee moved to Deutsche Telekom AG / Federal Police as a consultant ; his employment relationship has been suspended since his state parliament mandate. He also studied business administration at the Institute for Economic Research and Further Education (IWW) in Munich .
Van Raemdonck lives in Falkensee in the Havelland district . He is married and has two children.

Political party
Van Raemdonck was a member of the SED until he left in March 1989 .
From 2005 to 2010 he was a member of the CDU , where he was active in the Falkensee city association of the CDU Brandenburg . He was also involved in the action to stop the link trend , an association of conservative members of the CDU.
From 2010 to 2011 he was a member of the right-wing populist party Die Freiheit , for which he was deputy chairman of the Brandenburg State Association in 2011.
He has been a member of the AfD since March 2013, of which he was the first deputy chairman of the AfD Brandenburg from April 2013 . After Roland Scheel resigned, he briefly took over the state chairman's business. He is a member of the state committees for internal affairs and justice and economics and technology.

In the local elections in Brandenburg 2014 van Raemdonck was for the AFD in the city council of Falkensee (AFD received 10.3 percent of the votes) and the council of the Havel country (AFD received 6.5 percent of the vote) selected. He is a full member of the Education / Culture / Sport / Social Committee in Falkensee.
In the state election in Brandenburg in 2014 , he entered the state parliament via the state list (2nd place) of the AfD Brandenburg . He ran as a direct candidate in the state constituency Havelland II (constituency 6) and received 13.0 percent of the first votes behind the competitors from the CDU, SPD and Greens. In the state parliament he was chairman of the budget control committee A12 and the subcommittee of the budget control committee. After the state elections in Brandenburg in 2019 , Raemdonck did not move into the state parliament again.
Affiliate foundations
Van Raemdonck is treasurer of the AfD-affiliated Academic Erasmus Foundation and chairman of the Erasmus Foundation Brandenburg .
