Erblast was a solo project founded by Oswald Henke in 1996, in which, however, he received support from some colleagues. Juliane Ihl and Tim Hofmann later became permanent members of the band. In the meantime, however, the band has been dissolved.

The music and text design go in a similar direction to Henke's more famous band Goethes Erben , but the project never came close in terms of sales figures. Since Henke regards Goethe's heirs as German-language music theater, Erblast offered him the opportunity to try out new things, including the English language.

background

  • Susanne Reinhardt , who like Henke is a member of Goethe's heirs, can be heard on the albums as a guest musician, as well as Troy, who was involved in the second album on the song Ismael .
  • The song Was was, remains ... on the first album was re-dubbed in 2001 by Goethe's heirs.
  • The sparse names of the first two albums come from the fact that Henke had used them as a project title and wanted to avoid an album name, as this would again be too reminiscent of Goethe's Erben publications.
