Erdmann Gustav von Broecker
Erdmann Gustav von Broecker (born November 18 . Jul / 29. November 1784 greg. In Livonia , † March 4 jul. / 16th March 1854 greg. In Tartu ) was a Baltic German legal scholar .
Life
His parents were the court clerk Harald Gustav Bröcker (1758-1814) and his wife Marie Elisabeth von Jankiewitz .
Erdmann Gustav von Broecker studied law at the University of Dorpat from 1803 to 1805 and received his doctorate in Königsberg in 1825. jur. From 1806 he worked as a notary in Riga, in 1809 became secretary at the city council, in 1821 senior secretary in Dorpat. In 1825 he was appointed associate professor of provincial law at the University of Dorpat. From 1831 to 1850 he was a full professor of constitutional and international law.
He was married to Lydia Dorothea Schultz . The couple had at least one son:
