Erdogan Bulut

Erdogan Bulut (* 1961 in Palu , Turkey ) is a Kurdish painter, sculptor and filmmaker.

Life

Erdogan Bulut worked as a topographer before studying fine arts with Thomas Bayrle and Per Kirkeby from 1985 to 1990 at the Frankfurt University of Fine Arts (Städelschule) . In 1991 he was the winner of the annual art prize of the Frankfurter Künstlerhilfe. From 1992 to 1994 he taught painting at the Offenbach am Main Academy of Design . In 1998 he founded and directed the "art space k9 in Offenbach / M", which presented young art. In 2004 he initiated the "Free Academy of Fine Arts, abk-hannover" in Hanover, where he teaches. Since 1987 his work has been shown in art associations, galleries, art fairs and museums.
