The Ereby Point is a headland on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 7 km east-northeast of Hannah Point on the north bank of South Bay and marks the eastern boundary of the entrance to Mihaylovski Cove .
The British navigator James Weddell gave the bay now known as South Bay the name Ereby's Bay . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee decided in 1961 to transfer Weddell's no longer established designation to the headland described here. The namesake is not known.
