The Erfatal Museum is the local history museum supported by the Hardheim community .

General

The Erfatal Museum was opened in 1922 and was still housed in Hardheim Castle at that time . In the 1970s it moved and is now set up opposite the Hardheimer Schloss in the attic of a historic bulk building.

The redesign of the museum was conceived by Peter Wanner MA (Wiesenbach), designed by Burkard Pfeifroth (Reutlingen) and realized with the help of the members of the Museum Association Erfatal eV.

The Erfatal Museum in Hardheim goes back to the beginning around the turn of the century. In 1922 the collection was opened to the public in the tower room of the castle. Emil Bader was a teacher in Bretzingen and encouraged the community to take this step. He found designs by Andreas Vogel in the Bretzingen rectory and implemented this design for Hardheim and his descendants.
