Julius Heffner

Julius Heffner (born February 19, 1877 in Bretzingen ; † February 2, 1951 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German teacher and painter.

The son of the farmer Gustav Adolf Heffner and Theresia Seubert studied at the building trade school in Karlsruhe and after graduating from 1899 worked as a trade teacher, most recently from 1900 until his retirement in 1935 at the trade school in Freiburg .

As a painter he was self-taught and mainly painted Black Forest landscapes . He was a member of the artists' association " Breisgauer Fünfer " founded in Freiburg in 1899 ( Hermann Dischler , Julius Heffner, Fritz Reiss , Carl Schuster , Ludwig Zorn ). From 1926 he was a member of the exhibition group " The Black Forest ".
